Toad's Castle is TEN years old!

I distinctly remember the morning ten years ago when I sat down to start TC with its grotesque, bright yellow theme. I thought it'd be fun to dig it up for this occasion:

I was hoping to have the new Joomla-based site launched for the 10th birthday, but as usual I've been busy and let the date sneak up on me unprepared. But hey, at least I didn't do this again. When it is eventually launched, the platform for the site will make updates much less tedious and provide a way for others to easily update the site without needing to write code.

Thanks to all who have contributed to the site in the last year and the last ten. Without your dedication there's no way this anniversary would've ever come. We've had great times over the years and here's hoping more still lay ahead for the Castle.

It's hard to believe, but it's such a wonderful feeling to know how long we've stuck together through thd good times and ba. We're still all dedicated to this site and we're going to stay the Toad's Castle family for the long run. Happy tenth anniversary everyone!

Yeah, time flies. I can't believe it's already been 5 years since that 5 year anniversary topic. I wonder what all of our deserters are up to these days. Let's take a moment to remember some.

Time flies, I check the forums out at least once every other week, where as the homepage almost daily to see most of new game trailer posts.

I don't have much of the time to work on the Joomla project, something that has always bothered me when working on that is so much of the content needs to be copy pasted over and over. I would like to see a more news focused site in the very distant future.

Here's to another 10 years! Also, does it seem Nintendo fan sites are diminishing? I hope that doesn't happen to TC any time soon.

If possible, I'd like to help with the site. I've never worked with Joomla before and idk how you're doing it but if there's any way to divide the labor I'll help out some

It should be pretty easy to help with the content importation. After all, the major reason behind the update is to make adding content as simple as possible. I will get back to you about it when we reach that point.
