...So, yeah, actually, the trailer is pretty funny. Not sure if the movie itself will be all that good.

Funnily enough, my dad also loves Yogi Bear, as he grew up with it. I haven't shown him the trailer yet, though.

Personally I hate the idea that they're making a live action movie about Yogi Bear because, really, there's no point in making a live-action movie of a classic cartoon series. No really, I cannot for the life of me think of any reason to do something like that.

The movie itself MIGHT be pretty decent, but I can't really think of a reason to do this, aside from money... But even then it doesn't make sense, if you want to make a 3D movie of a classic cartoon character, why not just use traditional animation? Why go to the trouble of hiring actors (big name actors as well) to make a live action movie?

FYI, I didn't see the Chipmunk movies because the trailers for said movies made it look really stupid and cash-grabby. This one has the same cash-grabby tone the other one did, with the promotion of it being a 3D movie as well as the casting of Justin Timberlake of all people as Boo Boo.

But at the same time, Yogi talks and acts like Yogi, and Justin Timberlake actually does a surprisingly good Boo Boo! So who knows, maybe this will just be a mixed bag, we'll see come December 17.

I do better imitations of Yogi Bear and Boo Boo. That's not a hyperbole, I honestly think mine is better. They could have had better casting for this.

What? ...No!

Although, when the Nintendo 64 came out, I was more focused on getting a SNES, until there weren't any SNES games readily available anymore.

But that's beside the point. The point IS, as preditably bad as this movie will most likely be, I'm actually willing to give ti a far chance and surprise me, despite being a live action 3D movie of a cartoon from the 50's and 60's.

I'm more bothered that they're making a movie of a cartoon that ended in the 60s. The movie will be bad in my mind, despite me knowing it'll be a big money maker in theaters.
But well that's just like, my opinion of it, man.

I have to say a live action Top Cat might actually be pretty awesome.
But to the rest of them, live action just serves as a detriment.
