Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is coming to WiiWare

For weeks, Sega has been teasing fans with a new project,tentatively named Project Needlemouse. First it was revealed that the game would focus on Sonic, then some snazzy, old school Sonic artwork was released to promote the game. Many fans speculated it was the coming of Sonic the Hedgehog 4, and Sega has confirmed that to be true. Sonic 4 will be a downloadable episodic series on PSN, XBLA, and WiiWare. Why can't they just finish the whole damn game, and sell it as a fucking disk? There's really no point to this download crap except to make an extra buck. It'll probably be $20 per episode, and we won't see episode 2 till next year I bet knowing Sega and the time everyone takes for DLC/episodic games to be finished anyways.

So the site just updated with a badniks section. So far, only Motobug is there, and it really kind of gets me. Motobug is almost like the Goomba of the Sonic series, only this is probably it's second most significant appearance.

And now, apparently, the Motobug can turn around and chase Sonic, so I guess it's a step just above the Goomba.

2. You've got to think, DLC is a pretty awesome technology.

Say they make two episodes. Assuming it is as expensive as dlc episodes get, $20, it will be $40. If it's a physically published game on a disc, it will likely run for $60. We're saving money.

Plus, consider the gas money to get down town to GameStop. Unless you live near it or work there, you're losing more money by going to buy it.

2.DLC is cool technology, but I mean, take Borderlands. It's a full price game, and the fucking DLC for it was $20. That's terrible. So if I buy it, it'll end up being I payed $80 for that game. And just releasing games as DLC is pointless, it may end up being cheaper, but it's just a way for lazy game companies to make 1/4 the damn game then wait a year to do another 1/4. And we don't know how many episodes will be out, what if there's 5 of them, for $20 each? That's $100, no thank you.

It's a quality issue. There probably won't be 5 episodes, but if there are, you're right that's kinda messed up to pay $100 for an otherwise $60 game.
