Game Pages Editing

Postby supertoad » Sat Jan 09, 2010 11:34 pm

You can now edit the content on Game Pages when logged in. If you want to test the feature without actually making an update, use the Donkey Kong page and I will delete the test posts in a few days.

So when we add something to a game page like a link will other people be able to delete the link as well?

Anyone with a forum account will be able to edit the "about" section of the game page, above the links to content. But I will see who edited it, and it saves a copy of all versions, so if it is defaced I can restore it and ban the person who did it.

Will we eventually be able to edit our own content?

Because if the only thing I ever submitted is that one review it should at least look like it wasn't half-assed :P

The content in sections besides the Game Pages and profiles is not stored in the database, so it would be more complex, though not impossible, to safely allow editing of it. For now, if you want to update anything I can make the changes manually.
